Mlynecek pension and recreational facility - things to do outside any day of the year.

Currently Mlynecek is an "L" shaped property - the one gated area is home to most of the facilities, however there are the two fields where you can play some sports, camp or sunbathe if you like.

However, for many active people on the go, our place is just their bedroom and place for breakfast and late night Barbecues. Those on-the-go types like to take advantage of the many things around the pension to fill their days with activities - from lethargic sunbathing and fishing to peaceful strolls in the woods and mushroom picking in season, to sampling Czech cooking and sightseeing in the neighboring villages and towns.

This page will give you ideas for the immediate area. For more info on neighboring towns and village, please see these links:

But not to be overlooked is the area right around the pension!

The first obvious thing is the POND. You can swim, sunbathe and fish there, as well as walk around and just enjoy the peace and tranquility. It is a public facility, and fishing requires a village license. Contact our manager for one if you wish to fish. Also, for those interested, at the far side of the pond near the woods is a commonly accepted nude sunbathing area.

Two other popular activities in season are mushroom and berry picking. Mushrooms are found in the conifer forests and berries in the deciduous area. Please note! If you are not sure of which mushrooms to pick - please let them be for the next person. There is a common Czech joke - ALL mushrooms can be eaten - some only one time! So, please take care.

If you leave Mlynecek and face the road from our parking lot - turning left will take you into Pec, a pleasant walking distance. Likewise, you can walk past the pond, turn right and then right again at the end of that road, and end up in Pec.

While there are no skiing areas right in the immediate area, they can be found in nearby areas and there are other snow time activities possible.

Children will of course find many things to do in the surrounding woods in all seasons.
