A recipe for Beer Jelly

Beer Jelly (perhaps a Japanese invention???)

A few times a month I teach an English class for a lady in my town. Every class she always provides us with a novel treat. One week it was beer jelly . As most, if not all, of the alcohol evaporates in cooking, this dish may even be suitable for some children.

Note: I am not much of a beer fan, I much prefer wine. Suggested alternative - substitute red or white wine for the beer and change the ginger ale to Seven Up (tm) or Sprite (tm). - Nick
