Nick on Naturism

TEXTILES: Think about it!

Clothing serves the following purposes for the following people:

  • Social snobs: it lets them show off their money. They have better clothes, therefore, they are better people (or think they are).

  • Military and pseudomilitary gestapo bosses: it lets them show off their rank. They have a uniform to pin their badge to, and let's everyone know how important they are (or think they are).

  • Political dictators and their police bully buddies: it lets them show off their power (lord knows they probably don't have anything else to show off). They think by bullying everyone into wearing clothes they are big men (and women). They arn't, but they think so.

  • Religious perverts: see political dictators, except add a god motive. If their god created them in such a fashion as they REQUIRE clothes, something must be wrong with their god. AND if they claim they are made in the image of their god, their god must be one ugly son of a gun!

  • Mentally ill: Yes, some people are just plain mentally sick. They take something beautiful and natural and pervert it... and then have the gall to call the natural version the perversion. In any intelligent race, these people would be hospitalized for their own safety. Unfortunately, this planet is not big enough!

  • Technical barbarians: They do not have the physical or mental skills to adapt their environment or their bodies to fit the environment.

OK, so I sometimes belong to the latter group myself, but, given the chance, I prefer to escape from the selfish, arrogant, petty, greedy, haughty, I'm-better-than-you, do-as-I-say-or-else, crazy, clothes-wearing vermin that infest this small planet of mine.

Yes, my dictionary defines vermin as "various small animals or insects, such as rats and cockroaches which are annoying, destructive or injurious to the health." Yes, the above ARE small animals (some smaller than others). They ARE annoying, and they are most definitely injurious to the mental and physical health of many people.

So, if you're still caught in the trap, set yourself free. Be natural, as you were meant to be.
