All these pages (original edition) were written for Netscape (tm) 2.0 (set to maximum screen width), with minor provisions (like body color="808000" instead of text="gold") for older Netscape (tm) users. If you have problems, please consider downloading a newer version of Netscape (tm).

On Navigating:

As I write this, (note - probably written around 1996, today is Sep. 11, 2002) this is my first attempt. Yes, I may have revised it since I wrote this (see below) :-{) I have tried to make this easy. Sorry there is no cgi search program; I am trying to learn cgi, Java, etc. I have written this with a 'text editor' and the other program, which is housed in my BRAIN! I have made a 90 percent complete 'encyclopedic index', which I hope will do for now. Most pages have a few navigation tools (usually at the bottom of the page), to places such as the top page, the 'general index', the 'encyclopedic index', and various special indices (in other words, indexes), such as English Learning and Teaching, recipes, photo, travel and hobby related, etc.

On copy and photo rights:

MY RIGHTS: Where I have copyrighted something, I felt it was my honest original work. ANYTHING I created (this does not include any reposted material, or any material from any link) and posted on this page may be used by anyone (any race, color, or planetary origin), anywhere, anytime, subject to the following three provisions:

• You do so freely, without charge, or any provision where others pay you for it.
• You give me appropriate credit.
• It is not altered in any form or fashion.
• AND you DO NOT place it IN a FRAME on your page (LINKING permission granted only!)

YOUR RIGHTS: The more sensitive issue. I have consistently striven to ensure I have not infringed on anyone's rights.

• As far as copyrights, I believe all material to be in the public domain. In one case (Ben Franklin's Reasons) I believe the material to be quoted, and hence not subject to copyright. All recipes are either my original work, or from friends, with permission. All travel material is from my own excursions, with the barest reference for confirmation from other sources
• As far as photographs and images, with the exception of the cover of a book (included so potential buyers know what to look for), all photos, grapics and images are my own. As far as model releases, in countries where such a concept even exists, I believe no photo violates or even identifies anyone, and in only one case did I deem it necessary to alter the image to protect identity.
• STILL, in any case, if you believe anything I have published violates your rights, please inform me as soon as possible, with exact identifying data and the reason you feel it violates your rights. All legitimate cases will be removed from my page at the next updating (please allow up to one month). In such cases, I offer my sincerest apology. However, since the mistake was an honest one, I can not offer any financial damages, and none will be paid in any case.

Update September 11, 2002 - I am quickly trying to move the last of my files from Japan to the Czech Republic. Most of the EFL material and naturist material were moved months ago - and now I hope to move the last couple hundred files and couple hundred images - a lot of which had been 'under construction' still is - i.e. you will see some with dates (c) 1996, 2002 - shows how long I have been doing this, and still not able to complete a lot of it - yet. Of course, I know some of you have personally created well over 1,000 html files with hundreds of your own images, but for many out there - it IS a lot of work, esp. when most of it is done in my free time, and most of the rest of the time I am either working over time or reading or drinking and depressed that there seems to be no nice lady out there for me... (nice young ladies - drop a line and introduce yourselves if I seem to be the kind of man you want ;-) Lord knows there is enough about me on the page to let you know what *I* am like.)
