Pictures from Nikko, Japan

Pictures from Nikko, Japan

taken by Nick Miller.

Nikko is one of the most photographed town in Japan, I am sure. Aside from the bridge picture, the rest in this set are from the Emperor's Summer Palace / WWII Hideaway.

This is the Sacred Bridge, made when a priest threw a snake down and it turned into a bridge by a miracle.

This is the Royal Audience Room in the Emperor's Old Summer Palace.

This is the Emperor's, ah, you know!

Part of the building has been turned into a botanical museum. As a Mensan, I picked the owl as my representative shot.

In the yard is the entrance to the bomb shelter, which was used by the current Emperor during WWII, when he was a child.
