I have been and done many things in my life. Most recently, I have been a writer, editor and teacher. My students have ranged in age from two to 81, on three continents around the world. In my teenage years my hobbies and interests were mostly science and science fiction related, although I did have a few other interests, too. I particularly liked space related sci-fi, and even now love Star Trek. My hands on hobbies included astronomy, chemistry, electronics, and pyrotechnics (making fireworks). I was also a collector. I liked collecting books and comics, numismatics (coin collecting), philately (stamp collecting), and rock hound (rock collecting). I was a Boy Scout for many years. I enjoyed camping, hiking and earned many merit badges and specific awards. I read a lot! My name is Nick, and I consider myself a man of the world, not a man of a nation. I have lived in seven countries on three continents AND on the Pacific Ocean, and visited about 30 countries on four continents! I may have even visited your hometown!
